Today I am going to talk about three different stories about three different sharks.
The first shark is named Cate Ells after Wendy's two granddaughters Catherine and Eloise. Now, Cate Ells is a female Mako shark and on July 13, 2014, was tagged at Montauk NY. She is currently at the immature shark stage of life which concludes that Cate Ells is at the teenage part of her life. Her length right now is 6'6 ( which is about as tall as an average basketball player in the N.B.A) and she weighs only 78 lbs. Cate was found at NY at the 2nd annual Shark's Eye Tournament and Festival, which is an all catch and release tournament held on July 13 and 14 of 2014. She has traveled in total of 11050.788 miles. When she travels 24 hours, she travels 16.192 miles; and at a 72 hour travel, she travels 109.127 miles. She stays in the Atlantic coast region in between Cuba and New York. Now that you've heard the background story of Cate Ells, it's time for another shark.
The second shark is named Mackay after the school of Mackay State. Now, Mackay is also a female shark, but her gender is a Tiger Shark and her stage of life ( Child, Teenager, or Adult) is not yet determined. Her length is at 9'7 ( which is taller than any person) and her weight is at 291 pounds. She was tagged after Cat dealer Hastings Deering, who brought the OCEARCH team to speak at the school of Mackay State during their first expedition in Australia on February 18, 2015. Her total travel is 155.630 miles. She stays in the Tongue Reef region of the Indian Ocean. Now I am going to tell you about my third shark background.
And finally the last sharks name is Katherine after Cat Products fans in honor of Katherine Lee Bates. Now, Katherine is a female White shark and on August 20, 2013 she was tagged in Cape Cod. She is currently in the immature ( teenager) stage of life. Her length right know is 14'2 feet long and weighs 2,300 pounds! Katherine was loved by the CAT fans! She has been allover the Atlantic coast of the U.S and has been in the Gulf of Mexico. Katherine pops her fin up a lot, so about every day there is a new siting location of Katherine.
These are the three sharks that I wanted you to learn about there background information.
